Repairs
are tricky, for the repair of Borosilicate (Pyrex) and of
Soft Glass. It will require the glass to be preheated in a
kiln, to high temperatures, and then annealed by cooling
down slowly. If there are other substances added to the
glass (such as gold, that has been applied), it may burn
off or become discolored, in the broken area. This may
then be replaced in a separate firing process.
Most
repairs are judged on a case-by-case basis. Pyrex glass
can be repaired with greater success than a Soft Glass
figurine. However no repair is guaranteed. We repair at
your own risk. If the item cannot be fixed you will not be
charged, unless you want the item returned. Then you will
only incur shipping charges.
